Press Release

Brit Asia TV is very proud to present UK’s first and only dedicated Asian television channel for the British Asian population. Brit Asia TV is an entertainment channel aimed at providing predominantly UK based programming.

The Asian community represents an important fabric of British society. Brit Asia TV aims to broadcast and promote Asian culture amongst British Asians both in the UK and across Europe. After a successful launch in March 2008, the incredible response has meant the channel is already fully focused on expanding its broadcasting wings internationally to USA and Canada.

Whilst we’ve been inundated with B4U, Zee TV, Star Plus and the like, none of these channels have really hit the nail on the head in terms of serving the modern British Asian. Flicking through such channels, you will find an abundance of overly-dramatic serials about Indian households (which keep the mums happy), and cooking programmes (mum again) and Koffee with Karan. The latter, to be fair, does have some interesting interviews, though listening to Bollywood stars chatting about how fabulously glamorous their world is can be rather disenchanting; somewhat like going to a private members club, only to be left outside looking through the window. Bearing in mind that these channels are based mainly in India, their remit and vision is different to that of UK programmes, which is perhaps why it has eluded a lot of young British Asians.

This unique television channel is dedicated to British Asians by providing them the television content that they want to see with original and exclusive shows. All material on the channel is relevant and focused on Asian lives in Britain. This unique channel brings you a blend of original and innovative programming therefore filling the gap in the market. The channel is free to air on Sky, Brit Asia TV strives to provide high quality entertainment, deep features and exclusivity, which caters for all sections of the British Asian population

Brit Asia TV features daily shows, music, latest entertainment news, entertaining chat shows, drama serials, reality TV shows and much, much more. The channel offers a complete package with unlimited insight into the best of the Bhangra Industry with groundbreaking feature shows as well as focusing on the Bollywood obsession and unsigned Asian artists providing a platform and much needed exposure for the Asian British audience.

To enjoy music, bhangra and desi pop tune-in to Brit Asia and you will not take your eyes of this channel! Brit Asia TV popularity is growing leaps and bounds ever since it is launched.

CTS advertise with Brit Asia TV and it is happy to be associated with the channel. Association with the channel helps in strengthening CTS communication with one of its very important market segment which is the British Asian community in the UK.
